A group hike through Millcreek Canyon up to the Salt Lake Overlook — switchbacks, wildflowers, big views, and good conversation. No agenda. No labels required. Just people walking uphill together and enjoying the view at the top.

The trail starts at the Desolation Trailhead and winds through the Mount Olympus Wilderness. It’s a solid moderate hike — not a casual stroll, but nothing that requires training either. Bring water, wear good shoes, and come at whatever pace works for you.

• Moderate difficulty

What to know:

• There’s a small vehicle fee when you exit the canyon
• Cell service is spotty up there — save the trailhead location before you go
